RIYADH — Pakistan has officially signed its Participation Contract for Expo 2030 Riyadh, advancing preparations to develop its pavilion, programs, and experiences for millions of visitors from around the world. The signing reflects the continued momentum of international participation in the event.

The Participation Contract was signed by Expo 2030 Riyadh CEO Talal Al-Marri and Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Commissioner General of the Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2030 Riyadh Ahmad Farooq.

Pakistan’s participation reflects its deep historical ties with Saudi Arabia and builds on nearly seven decades of involvement in World Expos, demonstrating its continued commitment to the event as a platform for international cooperation and exchange among cultures and peoples.

Pakistan’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka received a bronze
award in recognition of its distinctive design. During the next phase, Pakistan will develop its pavilion in the Culture District at Expo 2030 Riyadh, showcasing its rich heritage, creativity, and aspirations for the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Farooq said that Pakistan’s participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh will provide an excellent platform for showcasing the country’s rich legacy in culture, trade, and tourism. “Pakistan holds vast potential and extensive opportunities in trade and investment, while its close ties with Middle Eastern countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, will further strengthen its relations with brotherly countries. We look forward to working closely with the organizers of Expo 2030 Riyadh to ensure successful and impactful participation,” he said.

On his part, Al-Marri said: “We welcome the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan to the growing list of countries that have officially signed their participation contracts for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This reflects the continued progress of participating countries’ preparations as they enter a new phase of developing their pavilions, programs, and visitor experiences for 2030.”

Through its pavilion in the Culture District, Al-Marri said, Pakistan will offer an experience combining its rich cultural heritage with its vision for the future. “Given the deep and enduring ties between our two countries, Pakistan’s participation holds particular significance. We look forward to working closely with its team and seeing the creative contributions that embody Pakistan’s cultural heritage and future aspirations, enriching the global experience Riyadh will host in 2030,” he said.

Pakistan’s signing of the Participation Contract comes as
preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh accelerate across multiple areas. More than 185 official participants have confirmed their participation, while countries continue developing their pavilions and programs for 2030. Construction is also
advancing across the six-million-square-meter site, with infrastructure work progressing and key facilities and assets taking shape.

Held under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” Expo 2030 Riyadh will provide a global platform for countries to showcase their achievements and ambitions, explore solutions to shared challenges, and open new opportunities for the future. Across its five thematic areas—Technology,

Planet, Humanity, Culture, and Collaboration—the event will invite participants and visitors to explore ideas and perspectives that will shape the coming decades.
