    Saudi, Tajikistan Shura leaders discuss stronger parliamentary ties

    DUSHANBE — The Speaker of the Shura Council meets with the Speaker of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan to review bilateral relations.

    Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh met with Chairman of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali Rahmon, during his official visit to Tajikistan at the head of a Shura Council delegation.

    The two officials held an official round of talks at the National Council’s headquarters in Dushanbe.

    During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan and discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the Saudi Shura Council and the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan in support of their shared interests.

    The officials also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.

    The meeting was attended by members of the accompanying delegation, including Shura Council members Dr. Asim bin Mohammed Madkhali, Eng. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Dughair, and Dr. Basim bin Hamdi Al-Sayyid, as well as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ambassador to Tajikistan, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Shamrani.
