RIYADH — A four-member Saudi informatics team is representing the Kingdom at the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from August 9 to 16.

The team, comprising four high school students, will compete against participants from nearly 100 countries.

The stuents underwent training under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

This year marks Saudi Arabia’s eighth participation in the international competition. Across its seven previous appearances, Saudi students have secured 11 international awards, including seven bronze medals and four certificates of merit.
