RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani has approved the Implementing Regulations of the Enforcement Law, which will take effect on October 29, 2026, coinciding with the enforcement of the new law.

The regulations, issued under Royal Decree No. M/237, were published Friday in the official gazette, Umm Al-Qura.

Comprising 54 articles, the regulations establish procedures, timelines and requirements governing the enforcement of judicial decisions and legal obligations, with the aim of improving the efficiency of rights enforcement while safeguarding the legal protections afforded to creditors and debtors.

The regulations also outline procedures for enforcing rulings related to alimony, child custody and visitation rights.

They specify the requirements for registering bills of exchange and promissory notes on approved electronic platforms, as well as the orders and decisions that may be challenged through formal objections.

The Ministry of Justice said the regulations implement the provisions of the Enforcement Law and seek to maintain a balance between the rights and obligations of all parties involved.
