    Saudi finance minister meets Pakistan PM in Islamabad

    ISLAMABAD — Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan met with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday in Islamabad to discuss issues of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

    The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

    During the meeting, Sharif conveyed his greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing appreciation for the Kingdom’s continued support to Pakistan.

    He commended Saudi Arabia’s longstanding economic and financial assistance, which he said has played a key role in supporting Pakistan’s economic stability.

    Sharif reaffirmed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a deep and enduring relationship, emphasizing that the people and government of Pakistan have always stood “shoulder to shoulder” with the Kingdom.

    He also stressed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors, particularly in trade, investment, and economic development.
