    Saudi Arabia congratulates Austria, and Trinidad and Tobago on election to UN Security Council

    RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call with his counterparts of Austria and Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.

    During the call with Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Prince Faisal congratulated her on the election of Austria as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2027-2028.

    He expressed hope for enhanced coordination and cooperation between the two countries in a way that contributes to achieving regional and international security and stability. The ministers also discussed regional developments and the efforts being made in this regard.

    During his phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Caribbean Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago Sean Sobers, Prince Faisal congratulated him on the election of Trinidad and Tobago as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2027-2028.

    He expressed his hope to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two countries in a way that contributes to achieving regional and international security and stability. They also discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest.
