MADINAH — The Prophet’s Mosque is providing services for elderly and disabled people during the current Hajj season, including dedicated routes and field guidance.

As part of the efforts to enhance the quality of services provided to visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, the integrated system of services at the Mosque and its surrounding areas is meant to enable people to perform their worship and visits with ease.

The services include providing electric and manual wheelchairs and carts at designated locations, as well as equipping pathways, entrances, and elevators to ease the movement of pilgrims within the mosque and its courtyards.

To accommodate the needs of older people and persons with disabilities while moving around and performing prayers, dedicated routes and suitable locations have also been allocated.

In addition, field and guidance teams are providing direct support at multiple locations within the central area by assisting them in accessing prayer areas, facilities, and services.

The teams will also regulate movement during peak times to ensure safety and a smooth flow.

Along with other smart services, interactive maps are available via QR codes at the Mosque’s gates. Support services include equipped restrooms and specially prepared facilities, along with guidance and orientation services in several languages.

These efforts are accompanied by transport, crowd management, healthcare, and emergency services in the central area to ensure a safe and accessible environment that accommodates the needs of older people and persons with disabilities, while enriching their experience during their stay at the Prophet’s Mosque and its surroundings throughout the Hajj season.
