MAKKAH — This year’s Hajj in Mina is witnessing a new identity for pilgrim tents, covering a total area of over 24,000 square meters.

The tents are distributed across two main locations in Mina: the upper site on King Abdulaziz Road and the lower site behind Al-Khaif Mosque. This geographical distribution aims to improve the flow of accommodation and facilitate pilgrim access to essential facilities in the holy site.

The project includes integrated facilities designed according to the highest standards, featuring dining halls and open areas, along with advanced service and administrative equipment that supports operational efficiency. The project focuses on implementing modern tent designs that provide effective ventilation and shading solutions, enhancing pilgrim comfort and ensuring a well-organized living environment befitting the guests of God.

The project also contributes to the integration of services within the holy sites by aligning them with infrastructure projects and supporting services, including water and energy networks and safety systems. This enhances site readiness and ensures the sustainability of operational performance during peak periods.

The project to replace and upgrade the fire and cooling networks within the tent enclosures in Mina has been completed. The project encompassed the development of 188 residential areas comprising 565 camps, with a total network length of 339,000 linear meters. This was implemented in four development phases to ensure continuity of work.

The first two phases included the development of 121 enclosures and 433 camps, covering an area of 275,000 linear meters. The third phase included the development of 22 enclosures and 53 camps, covering an area of 31,000 linear meters. The fourth phase covered 45 enclosures and 79 camps, covering an area of 32,000 linear meters.
