RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecasts maximum temperatures ranging between (45 – 50)°C over several regions starting Saturday, until Thursday.

According to a map the NCM shared on its official X account, extreme heat will specifically affect the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Al-Qassim, Madinah, and Northern Borders from June 20 to June 25.

The Eastern Province is expected to experience temperatures ranging from 47°C to 50°C. Meanwhile, the Riyadh, Qassim, Madinah, and Northern Borders regions are expected to experience temperatures in the range of 45–47°C.

This forecast comes after the NCM released a report on long-term monitoring of June weather patterns in Saudi Arabia, finding that June was among the Kingdom’s hottest months.
