    KSrelief aid tops $8.53 billion, reaches 114 countries

    RIYADH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) announced that the total value of its humanitarian assistance reached $8.54 billion through 4,404 projects benefiting 114 countries as of June 2026.

    According to the center’s latest statistical report, Yemen remained the largest recipient of assistance, accounting for 56% of total aid valued at $4.79 billion, followed by Syria with $583.38 million (6.83%), Palestine with $542.48 million (6.35%), Somalia with $257.17 million (3.01%), Pakistan with $228.34 million (2.67%), and Sudan with $190.63 million (2.23%).

    In Yemen, KSrelief’s support has covered a broad range of humanitarian sectors, including food security and agriculture, health, education, shelter, water and sanitation, nutrition, protection, logistics, early recovery, humanitarian coordination and voluntary medical programs, with cumulative assistance totaling $4.79 billion.

    For Palestine, the center reported cumulative aid of $542.48 million, supporting food security, healthcare, education, shelter, logistics, nutrition, water and sanitation, protection, humanitarian coordination and volunteer medical initiatives.

    In Somalia, KSrelief said it has provided $257.17 million through projects focusing on food security, healthcare, education, shelter, nutrition, water and sanitation, protection, humanitarian coordination and volunteer programs.

    The center’s assistance to Pakistan has reached $228.34 million, funding projects in food security, healthcare, education, shelter, nutrition, water and sanitation, early recovery, charitable initiatives and volunteer medical services.

    In Sudan, humanitarian assistance has totaled $190.63 million, supporting food security, health, shelter, water and sanitation, protection, humanitarian coordination, nutrition, education and volunteer medical programs.

    KSrelief said that across all humanitarian sectors, food security and agriculture account for the largest share of assistance, with 1,191 projects valued at $2.31 billion, followed by 741 health projects worth $2.13 billion.

    The center has also implemented 1,412 volunteer projects valued at $155.81 million, including 1,333 volunteer healthcare initiatives worth $147.94 million, alongside projects in education, economic empowerment, food security, shelter and multi-sector humanitarian assistance.
