JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent separate cables of condolences to Nepalese President Ram Chandra Poudel over the victims of devastating floods and landslides in northern Nepal.

King Salman expressed his condolences to the Nepalese president, the families of those who died and the people of Nepal over the deaths and missing persons caused by the disaster.

The King expressed hope that those still missing would return safely to their families and that Nepal would be spared further harm.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to President Poudel, the bereaved families and the Nepalese people, while wishing for the safe return of those reported missing.

The messages came as the scale of flooding and landslides affecting Nepal and neighboring China continued to emerge. More than 600 people have been killed across the two countries, while around 3,000 remain unaccounted for, according to media reports and local officials.
