MAKKAH — Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif inspected on Tuesday the facilities and reviewed operations of the Special Security Forces under the State Security Presidency, and the Civil Defense units in Mina.

At the Special Security Forces premises, the minister was received by the Head of State Security Abdulaziz Al-Howairini. During his inspection tour, Prince Abdulaziz reviewed the operational readiness of the Special Security Forces and the security and organizational plans prepared for the Hajj season.

He listened to a briefing presented by the Commander of the Special Security Forces Maj. Gen. Fahd Al-Harbi, which dealt with the progress of field preparations and the mechanisms for implementing security tasks in a way that enhances performance efficiency and raises the level of security coordination among all security and military sectors.

The minister praised the exceptional efforts of the Special Security Forces within the Hajj security system, emphasizing that the integrated security, organizational, and service systems, along with the available advanced equipment, reflect the high level of care provided to the pilgrims.

This enhances the efficiency of security and organizational plans, ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims and enabling them to perform their rituals in ease and comfort. Several senior ministry officials and security commanders also attended the inspection visit.

The minister also inspected the operations of Civil Defense units in Mina. During the tour, Prince Abdulaziz reviewed rapid-response mechanisms for emergencies and emergency plans implemented by Civil Defense to handle field incidents. He also listened to support provided for operational coordination and preventive programs aimed at enhancing safety standards and ensuring pilgrims’ well-being in the holy sites.

The minister inspected human resources, advanced equipment, and modern technological solutions deployed by Civil Defense during the Hajj season. The measures help strengthen the efficiency of responding to reports and handling emergencies with speed and accuracy.

Prince Abdulaziz was also briefed on digital indicators and real-time monitoring systems supporting decision-making and enabling proactive risk prediction in vital facilities and locations across the holy sites.
