MAKKAH — Saudi Interior Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud reviewed on Thursday the operational readiness of Hajj security forces to implement approved security and organizational plans for the 1447H Hajj season.

The inspection took place during the annual ceremony organized by participating Hajj security forces in Makkah.

Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami said in a speech during the event that the Saudi leadership has mobilized all capabilities and resources to serve pilgrims, making the Kingdom a global model in crowd management and large-scale operational organization.

He said the Kingdom continues to achieve the highest levels of coordination and smooth movement to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals safely and peacefully.

Al-Bassami explained that Hajj security forces have begun implementing comprehensive security and preventive plans based on lessons learned from previous seasons and extensive scenario planning to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah, as well as along all routes used by pilgrims.

He added that the Hajj security system operates with the highest levels of field readiness and integration, supported by advanced technologies and command-and-control centers aimed at improving coordination, rapid decision-making and operational response.

Al-Bassami also stressed that authorities would deal firmly with any attempts to politicize Hajj, disrupt pilgrims’ security or disturb the performance of rituals.

The ceremony included live demonstrations of security and field operation scenarios showcasing the preparedness and operational capabilities of participating forces, in addition to displays of security vehicles, modern technologies and aviation support used during the Hajj season.

Among those attending the event were Madinah Emir and Chairman of the Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee in Madinah Prince Salman bin Sultan, Deputy emir of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal, ministers who are members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, senior military and security commanders, and other high-ranking officials.
