New global platform mobilises specialised expertise and collective action to advance high-impact digital initiatives across DCO Member States and beyond.
The Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO), the world’s first standalone international organisation focused on accelerating inclusive and sustainable digital economy growth, has announced the launch of the Global Expert Community (GEC), a new global platform designed to mobilise expertise and advance international collaboration in support of high-impact digital initiatives across DCO Member States and beyond.
The launch of the Global Expert Community reflects DCO’s continued commitment to turning digital cooperation into action by expanding access to specialised expertise and strengthening collaboration across sectors and borders. With digital transformation continuing to reshape economies and societies worldwide, the GEC aims to bring together global perspectives and practical expertise to support the development of innovative solutions and accelerate progress toward more inclusive and sustainable digital economies.
Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of DCO, said: “Today’s digital challenges require stronger collaboration and access to diverse expertise. Through the Global Expert Community, we are establishing a platform that transforms knowledge into actionable impact and strengthens our collective capacity to build more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready digital economies.”
“By bringing together experts from across sectors and regions, we aim to accelerate knowledge exchange, foster collaboration, and support the development of practical solutions that drive meaningful and measurable impact through international digital cooperation.”
Experts within the Global Expert Community will contribute through a range of activities designed to support DCO priorities, including expert dialogues and strategic discussions, capacity-building initiatives, advisory contributions, and the development of practical knowledge resources that support informed decision-making and effective implementation.
The platform supports expertise across a broad range of priority areas within the digital economy, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital trade, digital investment, data and digital infrastructure, digital talent and skills, digital economy policy and governance, emerging technologies, digital inclusion and innovation, cybersecurity and trust, and digital transformation and adoption.
Participation in the Global Expert Community is voluntary, with engagement opportunities activated based on initiative needs and relevance of expertise. Applications are now open globally to qualified professionals from government entities, international organisations, academic institutions, private sector organisations, civil society institutions, and independent practitioners.
Through the Global Expert Community, DCO aims to strengthen international collaboration and unlock new opportunities for experts worldwide to contribute their knowledge, experience, and insights toward shaping practical, high-impact solutions for the future of the digital economy.
The General Secretariat is currently accepting applications for the inaugural Global Expert Community roster, welcoming experts, researchers, specialists, and industry leaders interested in shaping the digital future to apply.
