RIYADH — Saudi security authorities arrested a total of 11,300 illegal residents in a week. The arrests were made in the joint inspections, carried out by the security forces in collaboration with the relevant government agencies, during the period between April 23 and April 29, the Ministry of Interior revealed on Saturday. Those who were arrested include 6,244 violators of the Residency Law, 3,543 violators of the Border Security Law, and 1,513 violators of the Labor Law. SHANGHAI — China Eastern Airlines apologized to passengers after one of its aircraft struck a boarding bridge while taxiing at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on Saturday. The airline said the flight from Chengdu experienced a “mechanical malfunction” as it was moving slowly toward the gate, leading to a minor collision with the bridge.
