LONDON — More than 400,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United Kingdom, a record high that highlights growing pressure on the country’s healthcare system, according to a new report. Cancer Research UK said more than 403,000 new cancer cases are now recorded annually, equal to around 1,100 diagnoses every day, or one every 80 seconds. The organization said the increase is being driven mainly by the UK’s aging and growing population, while rising obesity levels and continued tobacco use remain major contributing factors. BEIRUT — Four people were killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon on Saturday, Lebanese state media reported, in the latest reported violations of the ongoing ceasefire.
