TAIZ — Yemeni government forces said Sunday they inflicted “heavy losses” on the Houthis during fierce clashes in the southwestern province of Taiz. The government-aligned National Resistance Forces said its troops were engaged in intense fighting with Houthi forces in the Al-Kadhah sector in western Taiz. DAMASCUS — The new Saudi Ambassador to Syria Ghazi Al-Anzi presented his credentials to Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. TEHRAN — Iran’s Economy Ministry has established an “economic war headquarters” to coordinate and accelerate its response to economic disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict, Deputy Economy Minister Morteza Zamanian said Sunday.
