F5 recently highlighted new enterprise AI security capabilities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 digital transformation goals at its Solution Day in Riyadh.
The global leader in delivering and securing every app and API emphasised how AI systems now operate with more access, autonomy, and speed than ever before, creating new risks for security teams and business leaders. At the same time, employees are adopting unauthorised tools and unsanctioned integrations, creating shadow AI footprints that most security teams cannot see, let alone govern.
According to F5’s 2026 State of Application Strategy (SOAS) Report, 88% of organisations report at least one AI-related operational or security challenge.
Taking centre stage at the event was the recently announced F5 AI Security Platform, which gives organisations continuous visibility, governance, and protection across enterprise AI applications, models, agents, and the APIs connecting them.
Through a continuous, adaptive loop approach to governing, discovering, testing, and protecting enterprise AI workloads, the platform extends F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) strategy to enterprise AI.
“The F5 AI Security Platform gives CISOs and security leaders what they have been missing: continuous control over every model, agent, and API, wherever the AI runs. We believe this technology will bring substantial benefits to organisations across the Kingdom as they continue to support Saudi Vision 2030 goals”, said Ehab Derbas, F5’s Senior Regional Director for Saudi Arabia, speaking at the event.
The F5 AI Security Platform will continually evolve to support customer needs.
Recent integrations include the enhanced F5 AI Gateway, which seamlessly enforces policies on every AI request. This gives enterprises a unified control plane to govern how AI models, agents, and tools are accessed and used, while optimising the economics of AI at scale.
F5 also used the event to officially announce the upcoming availability of F5 Workforce AI Security within the platform. A new agentless offering, it gives organisations visibility and policy control across workforce AI activity, including employee AI use and actions taken by agents on users’ behalf.
Planned expansion of the F5 Global Network in Riyadh and Jeddah
In other Solution Day news, F5 revealed that it aims to bring new levels of application delivery and security closer to organisations in Saudi Arabia.
As part of a wider expansion of the F5 Global Network, new Points of Presence (PoP) are now planned for both Riyadh and Jeddah.
The F5 Global Network comprises globally distributed points of presence with deployable software instances that extend the network into customer environments. The result is a distributed application fabric that spans cloud, data centre, Kubernetes, and edge locations—allowing organisations to connect, secure, and deliver applications closer to where they run.
Augmenting its existing Middle East-based PoP in the United Arab Emirates, the planned investment reflects customer demand for greater flexibility, application performance, security, and support for regional requirements as organisations accelerate digital transformation activities.
