JEDDAH — Newly appointed Jeddah Mayor Ehsan Bafaqeeh officially assumed his duties on Monday, meeting with municipal leaders and employees while reviewing ongoing projects and the municipality’s operational priorities.
Bafaqeeh chaired a meeting with officials from the municipality’s various sectors and departments to review key files, discuss current work plans, and assess the performance of municipal services.
He stressed the importance of strengthening institutional work and enhancing coordination among departments to improve the efficiency of municipal services and advance Jeddah’s quality-of-life objectives.
Bafaqeeh said his familiarity with Jeddah, its challenges, and his previous experience in issues related to the municipality’s work would help build on past achievements and further improve performance.
He added that Jeddah’s major development projects require greater coordination and faster implementation to better serve residents and visitors.
