    Saudi, Egyptian and Qatari foreign ministers denounce threats to maritime navigation in phone call

    RIYADH — Foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar condemned and denounced on Saturday the recent Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and the threats to maritime navigation.

    During their separate phone calls, the foreign ministers stressed the importance of intensifying joint efforts to de-escalate tensions and return to the negotiation track in a manner that preserves peace and security across the region. They also discussed the latest developments in the region.

    During their call, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Egyptian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty stressed the importance of intensifying joint efforts to de-escalate tensions and return to the negotiation track in a manner that preserves peace and security across the region.

    In their phone call, Prince Faisal and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed the importance of adhering to the US-Iran agreement, exerting further efforts to ensure the success of the negotiation process, and reaching comprehensive solutions that enhance security and stability across the region.

    Prince Faisal also received a phone call from Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug. During the call, they discussed the latest developments and issues of mutual interest.
