    El-Sisi underscores pivotal role of Quadrilateral Group in solidifying regional stability

    CAIRO — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and other foreign ministers of the Quadrilateral Group in Cairo on Sunday.

    The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Egypt’s Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan.

    During the meeting, President El-Sisi welcomed the convening of the fourth meeting of the Quadrilateral Group foreign ministers in Cairo. He said recent regional developments have underscored the pivotal role of the four countries as key pillars of regional stability and security.

    He commended the intensive coordination among the four nations over the past period and stressed the importance of continuing efforts to support the implementation of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding and ensure the success of the negotiating process between the two sides.

    Prince Faisal bin Farhan and the foreign ministers expressed their appreciation to President El-Sisi for his hospitality and for facilitating the fourth meeting. They reaffirmed the group’s commitment to constructive engagement in efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability at the regional and international levels and praised the productive discussions held during the meeting in Cairo.
