    Saudi, Syrian ministers discuss enhancing cooperation in local administration and housing

    RIYADH — Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail met with Syrian Minister of Local Administration and Environment Eng. Mohammad Anjarani in Riyadh on Monday.

    The Syrian minister’s official visit was aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries in local administration and housing. During the meeting, the ministers reviewed ways to develop municipal work. They discussed the Saudi experience in digital transformation and municipal services, as well as real estate policies and legislation, contributing to urban development and improving quality of life.

    Al-Hogail stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening regional partnerships, exchanging expertise, and supporting friendly countries in construction and development. He highlighted the Kingdom’s advanced models in digital transformation and city management.

    The meeting saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries to enhance institutional cooperation and exchange knowledge and expertise in urban planning, municipal services, and capacity building.

    Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and activating areas of cooperation. These efforts support municipal work and enhance sustainable urban development, reflecting the depth of relations between the two countries.
