RAFHA — The births of 90 various wild species were recorded during the first quarter of 2026 by the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority.

The authority documented more than 40 births of the Arabian gazelle, over 15 of the Arabian oryx, more than 17 of the Cape hare, 12 of the rock hyrax, and the hatching of 7 red-necked ostriches.

Additionally, the authority said that this level of reproduction in the ecosystem represents a qualitative shift in breeding program outcome.

This shows that wild species are no longer relying on breeding and incubation programs and are able to naturally reproduce within their habitats, reflecting their environmental readiness.

In a scene reflecting the reserve’s ecosystem vitality, the authority said these significant recordings demonstrate the effectiveness of reintroduction programs, alongside integrated conservation efforts and natural habitat management.
