The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has created a fund to support the education of children and spouses of Pakistanis living in the UAE, GCC countries, and other foreign countries.

The Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF) will offer scholarships to students studying in public and private educational institutions in Pakistan.

Under this initiative, OPF said scholarships will be granted to the children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis enrolled in intermediate or equivalent programmes, undergraduate degrees including MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Engineering, and master’s/MS programmes (18 years of education).

In terms of eligibility, OPF said candidates must have a minimum of 60 per cent marks or a CGPA of 2.5 in their last SSC/HSSC board examinations or in graduation/master’s/MS programmes from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

In a statement posted on its official social media platform X, OPF said that one parent (father or mother) or spouse (husband or wife) of the applicant must be a registered OPF member. The monthly income of the parent/spouse must be equal to or less than Rs200,000 (Dh2,632). Applicants should not be receiving any other scholarship during the academic year.

    How to apply

The foundation added that children of deceased registered OPF members are also eligible to apply if the parent passed away within three years prior to the last date of the advertisement.

OPF scholarships for spouses of overseas Pakistanis will be granted only if applicants meet all eligibility criteria and none of the OPF member’s children are already availing the scholarship at the same time.

Eligible applicants can download the application form from the official OPF website: www.opf.org.pk.

Application forms can also be obtained from OPF head office in Islamabad and regional offices in Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta, and Mirpur (AJK).

Completed application forms must be submitted to the OPF head office or regional offices on or before April 30, 2026, for processing. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.
