    Putin reaffirms Russia’s support for Saudi Arabia in call with Crown Prince

    JEDDAH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received on Thursday a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

    During the call, they discussed the rapidly evolving situation in light of the military escalation in the region. In this context, Putin affirmed Russia’s support for safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
    The two leaders discussed the negative repercussions of the escalation and its impact on maritime security and the global economy. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and topics of common interest.
