RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has recalled 2,888 Lucid Air vehicles over an electrical defect that could cause overheating and lighting failures and increase the risk of fire or an accident.

The recall from the Ministry of Commerce covers Lucid Air vehicles from model years 2023 to 2026 due to a defect in the electrical circuitry of the exterior lighting system.

According to the ministry, the defect could cause overheating and failure of the brake lights or headlights, increasing the risk of a fire or accident.

Owners of affected vehicles are advised to check whether their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is included in the recall through Recalls.sa.

The ministry recommended that affected owners park their vehicles away from buildings until the recall remedy is completed through a free over-the-air (OTA) software update.

Owners can contact Lucid Motors at 8001111030 for further information.
