RIYADH — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received on Monday phone calls from Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom Edward Miliband and Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif Al-Zayani.

During the call, Prince Faisal and Miliband discussed Houthi militia attacks on King Khalid International Airport. Miliband affirmed the UK’s condemnation of Houthi acts of violence targeting Yemen and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia. He expressed the UK’s solidarity with both Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government in confronting these attacks.

They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional developments and joint efforts by the two friendly countries to address tensions and mitigate their security and economic repercussions.

In their phone conversation, Prince Faisal and Al-Zayani discussed regional developments and the two countries’ efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability.

Al-Zayani conveyed Bahrain’s sincere condolences to Saudi Arabia over the deaths of citizens and residents in a heinous terrorist attack by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

He affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as to protect its citizens and residents.
