RIYADH — Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami on Wednesday launched several new Public Security services through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform ‘Absher,’ at a ceremony held at the General Directorate of Public Security in Riyadh. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.

The new services introduced on the Absher Individuals platform include bidding on motorcycle license plates through the individual auction service, printing driving licenses, replacing previously issued Saudi driving licenses for residents, and a range of air rifle licensing services such as issuing and renewing licenses, transferring ownership, issuing replacements for lost or damaged licenses, and printing licenses.

The launch also featured several new services on the Absher Business platform, including accident notifications, license plate replacement for establishments, registration of used vehicles, transfer of ownership of used vehicles to a main establishment, printing vehicle registration documents following ownership transfers, and obtaining permits to hold fireworks displays.

The introduction of these services is part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation and enhance the quality of electronic services, thereby improving beneficiary satisfaction among citizens, residents, and visitors. These automated services are designed to save time and effort while eliminating the need to visit the ministry’s departments in person.
